Mission Statement of the CAFB
The mission of the Chattanooga Area Food Bank is to gather and share grocery products with our neighbors in need. The Chattanooga Area Food Bank is a bridge between America’s food bounty and those who cannot provide for themselves.

CANNED GOODS/NONPERISHABLE ITEMS
Thank you for all of the generous donations of canned goods and nonperishable items that go to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.  Supplies are getting low and food donations are down 1 million pounds from last year while demand for food boxes alone has increased 12% over the same period.  Operation costs have increased while corporate donations have decreased.  Currently, they have a special need for canned peas, vegetables, meat and juices as well as dry beans, rice, oatmeal and cornmeal.   Everyone has spare food in their cupboards or would not mind purchasing an extra can or two on their next trip to the grocery store.  Let’s make an effort to meet and exceed our goal of 50 pounds of canned goods/nonperishable food per month.  JMUMC can do it!  Please leave your donations on the table between the gym doors.  The Chattanooga Area Food Bank thanks you!
