The Chattanooga Community
Kitchen is a freestanding social service agency focused on meeting needs.
Their primary goal is to lessen the poverty and despair among the homeless in
the City of Chattanooga
and to restore dignity and self-reliance to those they serve. They strive
to serve the physical, social and spiritual needs of the homeless and less
fortunate without expectation of recompense but instead out of love and
compassion for mankind.
3 meals per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year…no questions
asked.
“TIP
THE COMMUNITY KITCHEN”
It is a blessing that we are able to enjoy an
inexpensive, nutritious meal while being able to fellowship with our church
family on Wednesday nights. The same
meal at any local restaurant would not be as economical especially considering
the generous tips we leave for our wait staff.
With that in mind, the “Tip the Community Kitchen” campaign was
born. It’s very simple…please give the
tip that you would otherwise leave on the table at a restaurant to the
Community Kitchen. No cash? Add $1 extra (or the amount you are able to
tip) to your check when paying for dinner Wednesday night. Mrs. Lee will reimburse you the tip so that
you may put it in the “Tip Can” or in one of the baskets located on the dinner
tables. Thank you for your support!
